Automated Corner-Wrap Labelling of Shipping Cartons

For many years, EWE Armaturen in Braunschweig had used a traditional, entirely manual process to label their shipping cartons. One employee was solely responsible for applying the label to each carton by hand. While the process was functional, it came at a cost: it was time-consuming, prone to errors, and tied up valuable resources - resources that could be utilized far more profitably elsewhere. 

The solution was a fully customer specific turnkey system. In addition to state-of-the-art 4PL print & apply technology, the appropriate conveyor technology was seamlessly integrated as well, transferring cartons directly to an automated palletizing system. The result is a continuous, perfectly coordinated packaging line. 

The centerpiece is a high-performance 4PL equipped with a rotary applicator that prints and applies labels accurately and reliably across the corner of each package, ensuring optimal label placement and excellent readability.
